McINTOSH CHIEFETTES
A TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE
Congratulations to the Chiefettes on all of their awards at UDA summer camp! The Chiefettes won 1st place in the Home Routine competition, which qualifies them for the National Dance Team Championship in February. The Chiefettes also won a Superior Trophy for their routine evaluations, a spirit stick each day, Super Spirit Sticks which are passed down from another team, the Full Out award for Team Routine that the Seniors competed in, 6 UDA All-Americans, and the Leadership Award which is voted on by all the teams at camp. Way to go girls!
Congratulations to the Chiefettes for their outstanding performances at the National Dance Team Championship which earned them a ranking of 14th in the Nation for High Kick and 18th in the Nation in Small Varsity Pom!
Congratulations to the Chiefettes for ending their competition season with a 1st Place finish in High Kick and Pom at the 2010 UDA Georgia Dance Championships.

OVERVIEW : The 2010/2011 Chiefettes Team:
There are 20 Chiefettes on the team this year.
The Chiefettes start their year off with a trip to Universal Dance Association (UDA) summer camp at Auburn University. In June and July they hold their annual mini camp for youth ages 4-14 which is always a week filled with fun for the Chiefettes and campers. At Varsity Football games, come out to see the Chiefettes dance on the sidelines to music that the Spirit of McIntosh Band plays and cheering on their Chiefs. Make sure to check out the Chiefettes during Basketball season as they perform at all Varsity home games. During basketball season, the Chiefettes perform at halftime and showcase their competition routines which consist of a High Kick routine and the traditional Pom routine. Other styles of dance such as Hip Hop and Jazz will be performed as well.
The Chiefettes compete in 3-4 competitions throughout the months of November through February including the largest local competition, UDA Georgia Dance Championships. The Chiefettes qualified for the National Dance Team Championship again this year at UDA camp at Auburn University. They look forward to competing against some of the best dance teams in the country in February. The Georgia Dance Championships will be held at McIntosh again this year on February 19, 2011, so come out to support the Chiefettes and enjoy a day of dance. The Chiefettes are looking forward to another successful season! |
