OVERVIEW : The 2009/2010 Chiefettes Team:
There are 15 Chiefettes on the team this year.
The Chiefettes start their year off with a trip to Universal Dance Association (UDA) summer camp at Auburn University. In June and July they hold their annual mini camp for youth ages 4-14 which is always a week filled with fun for the Chiefettes and campers. At Varsity Football games, come out to see the Chiefettes dance on the sidelines to music that the Spirit of McIntosh Band plays and cheering on their Chiefs. Make sure to check out the Chiefettes during Basketball season as they perform at all Varsity home games. During basketball season, the Chiefettes perform at halftime and showcase their competition routines which consist of a High Kick routine and the traditional Pom routine. Other styles of dance such as Hip Hop and Jazz will be performed as well.
The Chiefettes compete in 3-4 competitions throughout the months of November through February including the largest local competition, UDA Georgia Dance Championships. The Chiefettes hope to return and compete at UDA National Dance Team Championship in February 2010 with the best Dance Teams in the country. They can qualify at summer camp at Auburn by placing in the Home Routine competition, or by receiving an overall Superior trophy for the week through their routine evaluations held on the last day of camp.
